How we verify

How we check a supplier.

No software decides. A person on our team looks at the papers, confirms the address, sees an invoice and, for the top level, goes to the shop. Every step is dated on the profile.

  1. Step 1

    Listed

    We call them

The supplier confirms their number with a code. We phone, confirm the business name, what they sell and the district, and check they are not on our suspended list. The badge says “Listed” and the profile says “Phone number confirmed only”.

  2. While we check

    Verification pending

    Documents received

The supplier has sent their papers and a person on our team has not finished checking them. The profile shows “Verification pending” and the listing keeps the Listed rules until the check is done.

  3. Step 2 · within 5 working days

    Verified

    We read the papers

A legible business registration or certificate of incorporation whose name matches the listing. The registration number checked against the registry where it is online. The address confirmed by a call, a map check or a visit. One real wholesale invoice to a retailer. Photos checked, with names, signboards and numbers blurred. A verifier signs off with their name and the date, and the profile says “Business registration verified [date]”.

  4. Step 3 · within 30 to 60 days

    Verified · Visited

    We go there

A team member visits the premises, photographs the shopfront and the stock with the date, and asks to see a trade price list or wholesale invoice. The level is shown once three or more shops have reviewed the supplier. Stock photos from the visit appear on the profile and cannot be replaced by the supplier.

  5. If a listing is reported

    Suspended

    We pause it

A report is open and we are looking into it. The badge says “Suspended”, the contact details are hidden from everyone, and the listing returns only when the report is closed.

What a badge does not promise

We do not check prices, product quality, stock levels or delivery times. We do not hold money or settle disputes. A badge means the business is real and reachable on the date shown. Read reviews, ask for a written quote, and pay only against an invoice.

When a badge changes

Every level expires after 12 months unless we check again; the profile then says “Verification expired on [date]” and the badge drops to Listed. Three reports from different shops pause a listing while we investigate. A badge is never sold and a supplier can never edit it.

Why names and numbers are locked

Everyone can see what a supplier sells, where, at what minimum order and what we checked. The name, phone number and address are shown to registered shops that unlock the profile (LKR 300 once, or every supplier for 30 days for LKR 600) or that the supplier chose to answer. Your first unlock is free while the offer runs.

This keeps the list away from SMS marketers and keeps calls from people who want one unit. A number that does not work within 48 hours is refunded as a free unlock.

Photos and documents

Product photos are public after the verifier blurs names, signboards and numbers. Shopfront and signboard photos show only to shops that can see the contact. Business registration copies and other documents are stored privately and seen only by our verification team; every view is logged. Buyers see the fact of the check and its date, never the document.
